Paula Vogel’s powerful, Tony Award-winning play tells the history of Sholem Asch’s provocative 1906 play, God of Vengeance and the brave theatre troupe that created it.
Indecent is theater at its best featuring a “tour-de-force” acting ensemble accompanied by Bay Area’s top musicians playing a Klezmer inspired score.
Director Elizabeth Carter will bring new perspectives and depth to this production. The themes are urgent and relevant today dealing with Jewish identity and assimilation, freedom of expression and censorship, the right to choose who you love—and so much more!
