Sholin, Roslyn
Roslyn Sholin is an exhibit creator and public speaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Roslyn inherited her grandmother’s old house and became an accidental curator. She transformed decades of material into educationally rich content. Her projects include an exhibit, “My Attic, Your Story” and she has discussed the exhibit for temples, JCCs, federations, and other venues in talks entitled “The Museum of You is Open. What’s on Display?”
She also speaks about “Eat, Pray, Love – Yiddish Style,” a cradle-to-grave look at her grandparents’ life experiences, as depicted in their native tongue.
Roslyn is an associate member of the Council of American Jewish Museums, and was a Community Fellow at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. She has been interviewed by the Yiddish Book Center’s Wexler Oral History project. A former finance professional, she has used her research and project management skills to pivot into content creation. When she isn’t breathing new life into older objects and papers, she keeps busy reading, making tasty treats in the kitchen and rooting for the Yankees.
