San Francisco Folk Music Club once again presents the annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival at the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse (between the De Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences).
Ami Goodman, a member of The Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco and lover of Yiddish music, will lead an exploration of songs from the vast repertoire of Yiddish songs of social justice, examine their origins, and teach the songs for all to sing. Handouts will include lyrics transliterated into English. No knowledge of Yiddish necessary. Bring along your acoustic instruments!
The Festival is 11am – 6pm. This workshop is 11am – 12noon.
