Nathaniel Deutsch

Nathaniel Deutsch is Professor of History at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he holds the Baumgarten Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies. He is also Director of the Center for Jewish Studies and Director of the Humanities Institute. His areas of expertise include Jewish Studies and Judaism, Religion and Secularism, Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, African American / Black Studies, Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ethnography.
