12th annual Jazz & Klez Summit, a musical meeting of top jazz & klezmer bands

Two talented East Bay community bands, the Netivot Shalom Jazzkleztet and the Albany Big Band meet for a musical celebration of jazz and klezmer!

The Jazzkleztet (2 pm) is a high-energy 14-person ensemble led by Rabbi Stuart Kelman and Natan Kuchar that performs original arrangements blending jazz and klezmer.

The Albany Jazz Band (3:20 pm) is a mighty 20-piece ensemble led by Bob Levenson that plays classic to modern instrumental jazz, including swing, Latin, and other genres. The band also features superb vocalists who perform songs from the Great American Songbook.
