A staged reading of EIGHT NIGHTS, a new play from award-winning playwright Jennifer Maisel, benefits HIAS. EIGHT NIGHTS tells the story of German-Jewish refugee and concentration camp survivor Rebecca Blum over eight nights of Hanukkah, spanning eight decades of her life. The play weaves heartache with life-affirming humor as it explores the question: Is history doomed to repeat itself, or can giving voice to the darkness help you move into the light?
