Fun Dor Tsu Dor – From Generation to Generation
The Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco is celebrating its 100th birthday with an encore program of songs chosen from their many exuberant years of singing. Adding to a variety of historic favorites, they will perform music written by some of the dynamic new composers of today. Under the direction of Lisa Sargent, with piano accompaniment by Inara Morgenstern, the chorus will bring you songs of solidarity, labor, humor, love, protest, and peace, sung in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Russian, and English.
Following the concert there will be a short dance party accompanied by the Kehilla Klezmer Band. Come join in this joyous anniversary celebration.
