What does it mean to be home and yet not home?  E4TT explores explores this duality with Shostakovich’s From Jewish Folk Poetry, Op. 79 (selections), sung in the poetry’s original Yiddish language and the World Premiere of Skazka (fairytale), twisted Russian folktales reinterpreted and subverted by emerging composer Alex Malinas with images by Aria Nunez after Russian illustrator Ivan Bilibin, along with new music by Mary Bianco, Andrea Casarrubios, David Garner, and Stella G. Gitelman Willoughby. 

Performed by E4TT with Carina Kahane, soprano, Melinda Martinez Becker, mezzo-soprano, Alex Malinas, narrator, Aria Shum, violin, Taylor Robinson, flute/piccolo, Zoe King, clarinet, and Eddie Virtgaym, percussion.
