Jewish American Heritage Celebration

South San Francisco Public Library

Cap off Jewish-American Heritage Month with a celebration at the South San Francisco Library | Parks & Recreation Center. Start off with a special story time for young readers and their families. We’ll share picture books that explore Jewish traditions, culture, and identity — a joyful way to start our morning celebration together. We’ll be giving away a limited number of children’s books courtesy of PJ Library!

Drop in and try your hand at Jewish papercutting, a centuries-old folk art tradition with roots in Eastern European Jewish communities. All materials provided — no experience necessary. This self-guided activity is open to all ages and runs throughout the morning, so stop by whenever you’re ready.

Join teaching artist and choreographer Bruce Bierman for a joyful, inclusive Yiddish dance workshop. No experience needed — everyone is welcome on the dance floor!

Free.
