Celebrating 100 Years of the Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco

Jewish Community High School of the Bay, 1835 Ellis St. San Francisco

Fun Dor Tsu Dor – From Generation to Generation

The Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco is celebrating its 100th birthday with a program of songs chosen from their many exuberant years of singing. Adding to a variety of historic favorites, they will perform music written by some of the dynamic new composers of today. The multimedia concert will take place on Sunday, June 14th, at 2 PM at the Jewish Community High School of the Bay. Under the direction of Lisa Sargent, with piano accompaniment by Inara Morgenstern, and featuring appearances by some special guests, the chorus will bring you songs of solidarity, labor, humor, love, protest, and peace, sung in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Russian, and English.
