Jewish Primitivism: Theories of Primitive Art and Der Nister’s Yiddish Stories, with Sam Spinner

Join Stanford’s Taube Center for Jewish Studies for the inaugural Eve Lokey Lecture in Yiddish Studies.

Sam Spinner (Zelda and Myer Tandetnik Chair in Yiddish Language, Literature, and Culture at Johns Hopkins University) will speak on “Jewish Primitivism: Theories of Primitive Art and Der Nister’s Yiddish Stories.

This in-person event will be held in the German Library, Pigott Hall on the Stanford University campus.
