KAILA Klezmer Workshops, Wednesdays

If you have ever been to a Jewish wedding or bar/bas mitsve party and wished you could play the traditional Eastern European Jewish Music known as klezmer, then KAILA is for you! KAILA is the Klezmer Arts Institute of Los Angeles.

Led by Gustavo Bulgach (leader of  the band “Klezmer Juice”), we are musicians of differing abilities and instruments, drawn together to play and learn the history, rhythms, scales and modes of klezmer music.

Come join KAILA for the bi-weekly Zoom workshops Wednesdays at 5pm Pacific Time (8 pm Eastern Time). Currently scheduled are 1/22/25, 1/29/25, 2/5/25, 2/12/25, 2/19/25, 2/26/25, 3/5/25, etc . KlezCalifornia’s Event Directory says these events are every week, but that’s not the case.

There is no charge for this workshop, however in this time of economic uncertainty, especially for the arts, any contribution will be appreciated.
