KlezCalifornia July Kumzits ONLINE
Join KlezCalifornia for our sixth kumzits, and first planned for San Francisco. Because of COVID-19, we have converted this kumzits into an online event. has been moved online. Additional online kumzitsn this summer are planned for June 28 and August 9.
Meaning “come sit,” a kumzits is a fun, participatory event for all ages at which every person does something for 2-5 minutes: tells a Jewish joke or story, sings (or leads) a Yiddish song, plays a klezmer or Yiddish tune, recites a Yiddish poem, etc. We go around once or twice. Everyone participates! No “passing”!
This event is in English, as are all KlezCalifornia events except Salons for fluent speakers. If you want to do something in Yiddish, please be prepared to also do it in English.
Kumzitsn are free, but we hope you will consider a donation of $15 sliding scale (i.e. whatever you can afford).

Those who have registered by Sunday 8am Pacific Time (10am Eastern Time, 3pm UK Time, 4pm most Europe, 5pm Israel) will receive sign-in by 9am Pacific Time that day.
