Klezmer Street Party for Purim
Purim and St. Patrick’s Day together! Halevai! Di klezmorim in Berkeley will gather Thursday, March 17, 5-7:30pm to celebrate with music and dance outside of Saul’s Deli, 1475 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley. This event coincides with the North Berkeley Farmer’s Market, meaning you can pick up your veggies, homentashn, dinner, and drinks, and can dance freely in the street, which will be blocked off from cars for the market.
Oh, and who are the musicians and dance leaders you ask? A large and luminous ensemble, the likes of which may be as rare as combined parties for Purim and St. Patrick’s Day!
