30th anniversary of Kung Pao Kosher Comedy

The 30th Annual Kung Pao Kosher Comedy: Jewish Comedy on Christmas in a (pop-up) Chinese Restaurant at Congregation Sherith Israel, San Francisco. Live and virtual!

An institution in San Francisco and one of the city’s longest-running comedy shows, Kung Pao was created in 1993 to answer the age-old question, “What are Jews supposed to do on Christmas?

Kung Pao has boasted a Who’s Who of Jewish comedians including the late greats Henny Youngman, Shelley Berman, and David Brenner. This year features Mark Schiff, Cathy Ladman, Orion Levine, founder Lisa Geduldig, and her 91 year old mother, Arline, by video from Florida.

All in-person attendees will receive Kung Pao swag (a goodie bag) with their ticket: A pair of wooden custom-printed Kung Pao chopsticks, a packet of Yiddish-proverb fortune cookies, and more.  This year, partial proceeds benefit SF-Marin Food Bank AND Center for Reproductive Rights.

Tickets: $30 – $100
