Learn to Play Klezmer, with Lorry Black

The first program of the Lowell Milken Fund for American Jewish Music’s “Learn to Play” series will focus on the exploration of instrumental klezmer music.

Led by Lorry Black, Ph.D., percussionist, klezmer musician, and Associate Director of the Lowell Milken Fund, this event invites attendees to participate in a guided two-part workshop exploring creative ways to use any instrument in the klezmer setting. Musicians playing both traditional and non-traditional klezmer instruments will benefit from this learning experience.
