Klezmer by Ear Workshops, with Lisa Gutkin
Do you hear melodies in your head and wish that you could figure out how to play them? Have you always wanted to play by ear, but think you can’t? Do you hear ornaments but struggle to make the sounds? If so then Lisa Gutkin’s workshop is for you. Lisa teaches classic klezmer tunes, while sharing ear training and practice techniques that are virtually foolproof. All levels and all instruments are welcome.
Lisa offers two “Klezmer by Ear” 90-minute workshop series on Mondays at 10am Pacific Time and at 5pm PT, and Tuesdays at 1:30 PT . Suggested donation is $30 (or as close to it as you can). Register and receive sign-in info at Lisa.Gutkin@gmail.com
