Simkhes Toyre Dance Party
Join Kehilla Community Synagogue, Or Shalom Jewish Community, and Bay Area Jews 4 Justice at KEHILLA for a joyous and multi-generational celebration of Torah! We’ll begin by unrolling and holding in our hands the entire Torah scroll. While open, we’ll tour many of its special spots (great for kids!), and then read the very final verses of Torah, followed directly by its first. Then it’s time for a rocking dance party with our amazing Simchat Torah Klezmer band, led by the indomitable Mike Perlmutter on clarinet and sax, featuring Diane Wirtschafter on vocals, and our epic 20+ member band!
