Ver Vet Blaybn? / Who Will Remain? (Yiddish film event)
Congregation Kol Emeth, in partnership with the Yiddish Book Center, invites you to a screening of “Ver Vet Blaybn? (Who Will Remain?)”
Film Synopsis: “Ver Vet Blaybn? (Who Will Remain?)” follows Israeli actress Hadas Kalderon’s journey to better understand her grandfather, Avrom Sutzkever (1913–2010), who was described by The New York Times as the “greatest poet of the Holocaust.” As Kalderon strives to reconstruct the stories told by her grandfather, the film examines the limits of language, geography, and time.
“Who Will Remain? is that rare documentary that soars above the power of its subject matter…” —Larry Hott, co-founder, Florentine Films, twice Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker
