In memory of Pete “Klezmer Fats” Sokolow, who died in December 2022, listen to Kenahora Klezmer Ensemble (formerly Kapelye), with Pete on piano, playing Araber Tanz. He was a jazz and klezmer pianist and reed player whose roots in the Catskills spanned older and newer generations of Jewish musicians. He played with major figures in klezmer history, including Dave Tarras, the Epstein Brothers, and Ray Musiker, and was an important figure in the revival of klezmer music.
