Secular Yiddish Schools in North America (SYSNA) Collection, Stanford University Libraries, Dept. of Special Collections
The Collection, founded by the late Gella Schweid Fishman, covers the four major Yiddish school networks in the U.S. and Canada: Sholem Aleichem, Arbeter Ring, Farband, and Ordn schools.
Friends of the SYSNA Collection assists in the identification and donation of materials; raises funds to catalogue and disseminate materials; offers periodic research scholarships. Bilingual newsletter, Shulgrusn, available on request.
