Yiddish Choristers
Meets most Wednesday nights, 7:30-9:00pm, led by Karen K. Bergen. Repertoire is mainly Yiddish songs, with some Ladino, Hebrew, and Russian songs mixed in for spice. At least three performances a year. Songs are taught so new members can be successful even if they don’t speak Yiddish or read music. No audition required. First-time visitors are welcome to try out the group for free. Members pay $5 per evening, if they’re able, to cover expenses (accompanist and copies of sheet music).
