Yiddish language classes for beginners presented by Yiddish Book Center
The Yiddish Book Center is presenting online Yiddish language classes for beginners, using the Center’s Award-winning Yiddish textbook, In Eynem.
Running for six weeks, these classes offer an in-depth introduction to Yiddish language and cover all aspects of learning, including oral and written communication, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and culture. Students learn from talented Yiddish instructors, receive homework, and engage in a small classroom community via Zoom and Slack.
This is an intensive course designed for students with no prior Yiddish language experience, who can commit to doing homework and participating fully in each session. Students are expected to study the Yiddish alphabet before classes begin, must have access to a computer with a microphone and camera, and should be proficient with Zoom.
