Jacobsen, Sascha

 Music Teachers, Performers

The Sascha Jacobsen Quartet has performed for historically significant premieres of previously lost silent films including A City Without Jews, based on the novel of Hugo Bettauer, and Broken Barriers based on the novel Tevye the Dairyman by Sholem Aleichem. Both films were unseen for almost 100 years before being rediscovered, and were performed with new original scores composed by Sascha Jacobsen.

A new project focused on Sephardic culture is Kanta Judezmo.  See video

Sascha teaches Double Bass, Cello and Electric Bass, Composition, Arranging, and Jazz Theory, on Zoom and in person in styles ranging from Classical, Jazz to Tango and Salsa.
